Although Austrian lawyers are under the obligation to update their professional knowledge (under §10 of the Rechtsanwaltsordnung), no formalised CLE credit system is yet in operation.
CLE is however mandatory for trainees.

"LEARNING BY DOING"
ECCLE's innovative training is designed to actively engage participants in simulations, oral arguments, drafting exercises, sharing of professional experiences, with a view to support their legal & business skills.
The ECCLE programs include advanced legal seminars, study visits and a summer course in legal & financial English.
Enrolment is usually limited to 25-30 participants to maximise the learning experience
